Dr. Ronak Patel celebrates Chicago Hounds’ 2026 Major League Rugby championship
Dr. Ronak Patel, team physician for the Chicago Hounds, is celebrating a historic achievement as the Hounds captured the 2026 Major League Rugby (MLR) Championship and completed an undefeated season.
As a member of the team’s medical staff, Dr. Patel helped support player health throughout the season, working alongside athletic trainers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate injuries, guide treatment decisions, and help athletes safely return to play.
Rugby places tremendous demands on the body, with players frequently experiencing high-impact collisions and stress on the shoulders, knees, hips, and other joints. Dr. Patel’s expertise in orthopedic sports medicine helps ensure players receive the highest level of care throughout the season.
